Donate Food

Our Food Pantry depends on donations of non-perishable food items. We especially need:
- macaroni and cheese
- pasta, pasta mixes, and noodles
- hot and cold cereals
- Gatorade
- canned tuna
- canned chicken
- canned ravioli and other pastas
- canned or packaged soups
- canned beef stew and other hearty meals
- instant mashed potatoes
- ramen noodle soups
- peanut butter and jelly
- canned fruit
Other items we typically need:
- canned vegetables
- rice
- cake mixes
- Jell-O and pudding mixes
- instant coffee
- paper products
- diapers
Holiday Needs
For Thanksgiving and Christmas, we also give out special bags for the holidays. We need:
- cooking oil, canola or vegetable under 24 oz
- breadcrumbs, 15 oz can or similar size
- Italian seasoning
- garlic powder or garlic salt
- onion powder or dried minced onions
- parsley
- poultry seasoning
- sugar, either 1 or 2 lbs
- brown sugar, 16 oz bag
- spices, small to normal size of ginger, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice
- vanilla extract
- bag of mini marshmallows
- box of mini candy canes
- box of hot cocoa mix, 6 or 8 packets per box
- non-stick baking spray
- aluminum foil
Frozen turkeys are also being accepted until November 15.

Remember: food drives make excellent projects for Scout groups, neighborhood associations, school and church clubs, etc.
All donations of food are given free of charge to people in need.
Where to Deliver Food
Food can be dropped off or delivered to the Little Sisters’ convent at 411 Poplar Hill Avenue, Salisbury, MD 21801.
Donations can also be dropped off at the Joseph House Crisis Center at 812 Boundary Street in Salisbury. To arrange a time, please call the convent at 410-742-9590 or send a message using the Contact Form.
