Hospitality Room Items

The Hospitality Room at the Joseph House Crisis Center offers assistance to people experiencing homelessness. Right now we are collecting warm weather items for men and women.

Current Needs:
  • men’s T-shirts, especially XL, 2XL, and 3XL
  • men’s tank tops, all sizes
  • men’s lightweight long sleeve shirts
  • shorts
  • jeans
  • hoodies
  • sneakers, especially men’s sizes 10 through 13
Ongoing Needs:
  • rain ponchos
  • hand and foot warmers
  • shoes and boots, especially men’s sneakers
  • white crew socks
  • underwear
  • undershirts, including sleeveless undershirts
  • cleansing wipes
  • toothbrush and toothpaste
  • body wash, shampoo, deodorant, disposable razors
  • back packs

Personal hygiene products should be travel size.

Donations can be dropped off at the Little Sisters’ convent at 411 N. Poplar Hill Avenue in Salisbury.

They can also go directly to the Joseph House Crisis Center on Boundary Street on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 am until 12 noon. Please call the convent to arrange other delivery times (410-742-9590).

Clothing (new and used) and Household Items

All other clothing can be dropped off at the Carriage House, located in back of the parking lot of St. Francis de Sales School, 500 Camden Avenue, Salisbury.

Household items (soap, diapers, etc.) can be dropped off at the Little Sisters’ convent at 411 N. Poplar Hill Avenue in Salisbury.

Furniture

Please call the convent first regarding donations of furniture (410-742-9590). It is very helpful if you can arrange delivery to our storage building at the Joseph House Crisis Center.

Christmas Toys

We collect new toys for children up to the age of 14 years. Toys are given out each year before Christmas. Toys that do not require batteries are preferred. We also ask that toy guns not be donated. For more information, please see Holiday Giving.
